See what I have started

This is the "Rabbits Prefer Chocolate" block of the month from one of my favorite online
stores (ShabbyFabrics.com). You should have seen how happy I was when I received
my block and I saw that wonderful green fabric that is used for the stem and leaves.
The fabrics that she used are perfect for me. I just love the way the blocks are coming
together.
I am new to needle turn appliqué, and I am working on 3 BOMs at this time. I started
with "Ticket a Tasket" from last year when Bunny Hill had it as one of their free block of
the months. I am on my 7th block (I am a little slow, or over booked with projects??). I
am also making a holiday BOM quilt that is machine sewing and appliqué. And last but
not least... "Rabbits Prefer Chocolate" this is definitely my favorite! As for my appliqué
skills, my stitches are pretty small, and I think I am getting better at the corners and
points. I still need to work on placement of the elements (as you can see in my block
up above).
My moment of truth is coming, because in February I am going to go to Elly
Sienkiewicz' appliqué academy. I am going to have 5 days of appliqué what more can
a girl ask for? I will have a wonderful opportunity to meet and greet all kinds of creative
people and see what makes us love the appliqué technique so much.

Very Bright Feathers

This is the latest quilt that I just finished for my customer. The colors are less saturated in person. This quilt was pretty hard to photograph, I am going to have to work harder at getting the photos to look better. I am not sure if you can zoom in enough to see the feathers that are making a pinwheel in the yellow, and radiates out.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

I am so getting ready for winter. I did this quilt for a customer and she was very happy with it.  I am now hooked on red work embroidery. I will be signing up to make one of my own.
